New students have arrived at the FNDU
This academic year marks the beginning of the 96th Cadet Course and the 79th Naval Cadet Course. These studies attracted 534 applicants, and altogether 144 qualified for the program. The students graduate with the Bachelor of Military Sciences Degree in three years.
In addition, this academic year boasts the arrival of 84 students who complete the Master of Military Science Degree in the coming two years. This program pilots the Bologna Process principles and is open for applicants with a Bachelor’s Degree.
Furthermore, the Senior Staff Officer Course 62 involves 96 Captains completing a one-year program. This course serves as the qualifying basis for the General Staff Officer Course.
Four New Professors to Finnish National Defence University
Matti Turtola is the new professor of Military History, Pekka Sivonen the professor of Strategy, Aki-Mauri Huhtinen the professor of Leadership and Juha Mäkinen the new professor of Military Pedagogy.
